Technical information:
Two factors are essential for producing high standard and quality products: the first is experienced and skilled workers and the other is reliable materials.
The manufacturing process can be divided to 3: carpentry work, metal processing and finally assembling.
Carpentry:
In the base of the torah case manufacturing process stands the carpentry work, and even though it is not always visible in the finished product, the level of its proficiency is crucial for producing a durable case.
As a matter of fact, most models has similar wood frame, made in our factory, while we take into consideration both the quality and resistance of the wood used and its weight. Among the types of wood we use you can find: cheery, mahogany, beech, walnut and more. The cases are available both in their natural color and painted.
Metals:
We use 3 types of metals: cupper, Italian silver (also known as bilaminated) and pure silver (9.25).
Cupper is the metal we use for the production of our coated models. In the first stage we process and press the cupper sheet, and later coat it in pure silver or gold.
Italian silver is basically thin pure silver (1000) leaf glued and pressed in a special process to an aluminum base. The silver layer on top in polished to receive a sparkling and brilliant surface. We find it important to mention that some companies present the Italian silver has pure silver, while actually only the thin layer on top is silver ( the silver weight is relatively small in the total weight of the sheet ),and there for present a false claim!
Pure silver (also known as sterling silver) is 9.25 sheets used for our "pure silver models ". The sheets are pressed and carefully processed and later polished. Moreover, in "pure silver" models all metal components and parts (including even the smallest bells) are made of the same 9.25 sheet.
Assembling:
In final stage of the production process all the components are put together to create the case. Proficiency and accuracy are crucial to make sure all components are symmetrically assembled; all sizes perfectly fit the wood case. Furthermore, experienced work will prevent problems from arising.
All wood and metal parts are coated by a transparent varnish, to give the case a brilliant and glamorous look and even more important, to serve as a protective layer.
Immortalization (writing names):
"Hay Brothers" give you the ability to immortalize the name of your dear ones and yours, using artists and sophisticated technology. The sanctification can be both in and out of the case.
Out – the straps outside.
In – the inner part of the crown on top of the case.
Certain models have more space for writing sanctification and there are even models made especially for the purpose of allowing a large writing space ( for communities, families est. )
